Preppy Cards was created in 2003 by Kirsten McCallum, as a unique addition to her New York City boutique, Pomegranate. As a collection of images developed, it became evident that the line would appeal to a particular audience - a preppy one! The line quickly gained recognition through the store, and interest from other retailers soon followed. Armed with a handful of wholesale accounts, Preppy Cards made its debut as a vendor at the National Stationery Show in May 2004. Preppy Cards can now be found today in over 250 boutiques and paper studios around the country!
In fact, Preppy Cards has gained in popularity and increased demand to the point that Kirsten has recently decided to pursue her Preppy Cards endeavor full time. Pomegranate closed its doors in November 2007 and now all efforts are being placed on growing the stationery business.
